06.10.12 | Famine photo with Darla Teagarden and Black Swan Theory
Last weekend Famine was part of a photoshoot with photographer Darla Teagarden, clothes (and styling) by Summer Lawson of The Black Swan Theory, and the model was Camille Nicole (gorgeous). This will be the first in a series involving all 4 rocking horses. The images are stunning, I can't wait to see what Summer comes up with next, and what Darla does with it.

05.22.12 | The Girls are off to Burning Flipside
Today is the day that The Girls get loaded on a trailer and prepped for their trip to Burning Flipside. We leave tomorrow and by tomorrow night they will be making people smile with a ride. I'm glad this moment is finally here, even though I am dissappointed that Pestilence isn't finished, Flipside is where it started and it's good to be taking at least one new rocking horse (Death). There will be something fun in place of Pestilence for people to enjoy, and it's green.
After Flipside I am going to spend weekends at the shop working on Pestilence. And I am going to start planning the VIP event for Kickstarter contributors, as well as designing the swag/rewards. I have a couple of photoshoots planned for June. Once that is all over, and Pestilence is finished, I intend to spend a little love on War & Famine. They have been hauled all over, abused by many riders, and they need some special attention.
I wonder if I will ever be done with this project. :)

05.16.12 | Realistic Goals
It's official, Pestilence, the 4th rocking horse, will not be finished by the end of May. I finally got a job after almost 9 months of unemployment. That combined with my husband having an accident at work has really slowed progress down. But I expect that if I work weekend on Pestllence, I can probably have her finished by July. The 3 rocking horses that are complete will be at Flipside this year, and something fun to represent Pestilence will be there too.

Mini Maker Faire was a success. Famine, War & Death were all big hits. And The Girls were featured on the Makezine Blog!
It was a long day, and I couldn't have done it without all of my friends who volunteered to move and help me watch The Girls. We are all very tired.
Now, I am starting to plan for Flipside. Pestilence will not be finished by then, but she will be represented. I feel very confident that Pestilence will be finished by the end of the summer.
